The painting depicts the sails and rigging with during a takedown. With a blend of colors: blue water, red & white sails and coastline features all complement each other. Part of the chart moves to the foreground, revealing the location of the boats and further enhancing the oceanic ambiance of the painting.
The nautical chart used as a canvas for this painting was once used for navigation . The markings on the used chart add an interesting historical layer that elevates the painting's uniqueness.
